Hej! This week was really awesome and the highlight was having Elder Bednar come to our mission conference! This was the first time since 1960 where all of the missionaries serving in the Denmark mission were together. There were about 150 missionaries total with all the senior couples and Icelandic Elders, it was really neat! We got to have three hours with Elder Bednar and it was the most spiritual three hours of my life. He bore his testimony about how the church has been restored and that he and the other apostles have the keys of the priesthood today. It was so powerful and a moment I will never forget.
This week we visited a lot of less active ladies and they are all so sweet, I love getting to visit them. We also have an investigator named Hesam and he is from Iran and is a really brave and incredible person. He has risked a lot to learn about the gospel and now he is here in Denmark and so ready to change his life for the gospel. He came to church on Sunday and seemed to really enjoy it and everyone in the ward welcomed him. It was a really great experience.
I love being a missionary here! The people here are so amazing! Some fun things about Denmark is that they are pretty formal with meals, everyone fixes their plate but then waits to eat until everyone is ready and the host says "Værsgo" then we can all start eating. And the fork goes in the left hand and the knife in the right and you use both of them to eat everything, then if they are going to have dessert (which they always do) then they have a spoon on the table at the top of the plate. It is also really funny because it is weird to ask someone "how are you" unless you know them really well. But it is not as weird to ask "Where are you going?" It is interesting, but I love it.
