Hej med jer!
So some exciting things that happened this week:
1. We found a new investigator! Wahoo!
2. Our investigator has tried praying everyday and said that he now feels comfortable praying! It is so great because prayer is such a huge blessing and I am so excited to see how this will help strengthen his relationship with God.
3. We taught a lesson to one of our new investigators and she is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She is from Afghanistan and never really had a chance to go to school there because of the war and everything so now that she is here in Denmark she has learned Danish but it is still hard for her to read things. She told us that in her life she has only finished three books and when we gave her a book of mormon she told us that she was going to read and finish the whole book because she knew it would help her.
4. Our investigator who is quitting smoking is down to three cigarettes a day!!
5. We had stake conference this week and it was so great to see all of the members from Jylland and Fyn come together and listen to the Stake Presidency and President and Sister Sederholm talked as well which was super great.
Some fun facts of Denmark for the week:
1.So Danish people have a tradition where if you turn 25 and are not married your friends will take you out and tie you to a pole or tree and then throw cinnamon on you. So on almost every street there will be just a huge pile a cinnamon next to a pole or a tree.
2. The sky in Denmark is probably one of the most beautiful things in the world. It is so open and huge (no mountains) and the clouds are always moving way fast. So the sky is always changing and there will times where it will be a total downpour of rain and then ten minutes later the sun will be shining. It is way exciting.
Scripture of the week:
D&C 50:40-44 and D&C 78:17-19
The Lord is with us and even though we may not understand or know everything right now He will teach us and help along the way. We are never alone. :)
Danish phrase of the week:
Det giver mening - It makes sense
And now I am in a terrible habit where when I speak english to my companion instead of saying 'that doesn't make sense,' I say 'that doesn't give meaning.'
Well I hope that you all have a great week!
