Hello!
This week has been way great!
Monday: we had a fun preparation day and we met with this very nice lady who wants to read the Book of Mormon and learn more about our church through that. Then we also went out to visit some potential investigators and no one was really home and we were feeling a little down because no one really wanted to talk to us either but then we found this way awesome teeter tooter thing and played on that for about five minutes. After that we were way happy and pumped and we found three people who were nice and wanted to meet and talk some more! It is so important to be happy while we are sharing the joyful message of the gospel!
Tuesday: we met with our dear friend who believes in aliens and we had a really great talk about repentence. That really is such a huge blessing and that is one of my favorite things to teach people because it is helping them learn about how we can improve and become better and totally clean! Then we had a way awesome lesson with our friend who is amazing at cooking. So he is a member of the church but hasn't come in years and he is trying to move to Copenhagen but it is really hard to find apartments in Copenhagen. So we told him that we would pray that he could find an apartment and we had an agreement that if we prayed and he got an apartment that he would come to church because that shows that pray works. Well he told us on tuesday that he had gotten not just one offer for an apartment in Copenhagen but THREE. All of which came without him having to do much work. So it was agreed that he will come to church. So it was as Søster Landvatter and I were walking home laughing and rejoicing over that miracle that the flu hit me and I threw up in the middle of the street. (Don't worry after a week of illness I am fully healed)
Wednesday: we went and saw this really sweet lady from Afghanistan (I think I talked about her last week, where she said she would read the whole book of mormon even though she has only ever read like 3 books in her life) But that was great, she is just a really amazing person and her dedication to her faith is awesome but she is still so open to our message.
Thursday: we had zone training which was way great! We have been talking a lot about role playing in our zone training and how they are more than just practicing a lesson but that if we sincerely ask Heavenly Father to help us know what our investigators would say and what we could say to help them that he will help us to know. So Søs Landvatter and I did a role play for one of our investigators and I got to play the investigator and it was a really amazing experience to really feel like the Lord was placing words in my mouth of what this investigator would say. It was definitely not me.
Friday: we did a film afternoon thing where we got to invite some of our investigators to come and eat lunch while we watched a church movie and that was way fun. It was a really great activity because we were able to have an investigator come who we haven't seen in a really long time.
Saturday we played sport and visited a lady who is less active and had a really great talk with her, where she really opened up to us about why she hasn't been coming to church and we were able to really talk about her concerns and hopefully help address them.
Sunday: Church! It was fast and testimony meeting and our investigator who has been trying to quit smoking got up and bore his testimony about how he wants to follow Christ and be baptized and is just working to quit smoking which is hard but he wants to do it. It was really sweet. Then as we were on our way to our weekly eating appointment with Maria we were on the bus and this guy started talking to us because he had met sister missionaries before and his cousin is a member of the church and he talked to us about how he wants to help his kids grow up in a church and how he has the book of mormon and has read but has questions. And we were like, 'we can help answer those questions!' so that was a huge miracle because he started talking to us right before we were going to get off to switch busses so we stayed on that bus and were able to get his information. MIRACLE.
sorry this is so long but that was the week! Great things happened!
Danish word of the week: småkager is means cookies! My favorite thing to make :)
Ha' en god uge!
