So this week was really just amazing and crazy! So first of all one of our investigators is going to be baptized THIS Saturday! Yeah! It is has been so crazy and amazing. The Lord is really hastening His work and I am just lucky enough to be here and seeing it and hopefully helping some. So last week he said that he would like to be baptized and we were like yay! Pray about a date of when feels right to you and we will keep working to prepare you for that and because he is from Iran President Sederholm had to come with us to one of the lessons this week and before when we were talking to President Sederholm about it he told us to pray about a date for him too so we did. And the date we came up with was Septmeber 27. So we had our meeting with him and President and we went over Lesson three again and just had our investigator tell us what he understood about these five steps and it was incredible. His testimony and understanding of the Savior was amazing and he wants this so bad. President was almost crying and the spirit was just so strong, it was amazing!
This week I also got to go to the Denmark temple and that was so beautiful! I loved it there and it made me really excited to get to take the people we are teaching there someday! The Copenhagen temple might be my new favorite temple! This week we also taught a family from Albania again and it went really great! They are amazing! They came to Denmark and had been very religious and faithfull in the Catholic church but they love the gospel because it adds to what they already know to be true and that the church is organized and restored so it is like when Christ was on the Earth. And they expressed interest in being baptized someday so that was great too! Miracles are happening! love, Søster Perkins Hej! This week was so amazing! The guy we have been teaching, who is from Iran has said that he wants to be baptized! Ahh! It is amazing to see how the Lord has prepared him for this! He has prayed about the things we have taught and received answers that it is true and he even bore his testimony on the Plan of Salvation in class on Sunday! It was so amazing! I am so excited for him! He is praying to figure out a date because he wants to make sure that he is living all of the commitments and is prepared to be baptized. He is a really amazing person! This week we have really been trying to stop by the members houses and less actives houses as well to get to know them, so we have been making a lot of cookies and trying to get people to like us. Well Søster Rigby and I went to visit this less active women and we rang on the intercom and she let us into the building and then opened the door and she was wearing a shirt and just black lacy underwear. But we talked to her for a bit and said a pray and set up an appointment to come back sometime. When we got outside I just looked at Sister Rigby like, 'Are we going to talk about the fact that that women was not wearing pants' and she just said "Don't worry she was hard to understand, she had a very Copenhagen accent and talked fast, I had a hard time understanding her." And I was just like "no... Sister Rigby, she wasn't wearing pants." It turns out after serving here for 18 months that doesn't really phase and you don't even notice it.

Hello all! As I have been preparing to depart on my mission this summer I have had the great opportunity to go on some pretty fantastic adventures with my family! Some of my favorites have been going to San Fransisco with my mom and sister. It was a blast! We toured the whole city, went on a cruise under the Golden Gate Bridge and around Alcatraz, we biked across the Golden Gate Bridge, visited Ripley's Believe it or not museum, and ate a lot of delicious food! My family also went on an awesome backpacking trip where we were rained on the whole weekend. We camped in Christmas Meadows in the Uintahs and hiked up in the dark Thursday night to find our campsite. The next morning we woke up and went on a hike. We crossed to "Rivers of Death" that just had wet, slippery logs for us to cross, luckily we all survived. The week before I leave my family and I went to Disneyland and had a blast riding all the rides and seeing the World of Color, fireworks and the show Fantasmic. On our way home we stayed a few days in St. George, where we spent a day paddle-boarding at Sand Hollow. I have had a truly amazing summer with my family and friends and I am so excited to go and have more adventures in the MTC and in Denmark. See you all in 18 months! Love, Sister Perkins |
